From the campaign
We felt that instead of retelling the story of Alan Turing, we wanted to explore a modern world in which he gets to live a full life and further his work in computer science. We imagine such a world perhaps would look like this:
- Robotics & Artificial Intelligence would be vastly more advanced.
- Super fast and powerful computers would enable many changes in our society.
- Some changes might be negative, like the loss of privacy & net neutrality. This would encourage cryptography and secrecy.
- Some changes might be positive, like the renaissance of a DIY tech-maker era. This would encourage empathy and generosity.
In a world such as this, saturated with machines, what would you do if a mysterious supercomputer becomes consciously aware?
